Kona's Kennelette is a Minnesota home-based kennel for raising, training, and breeding Alaskan Klee Kai (AKK) Total Dogs. The total dog to us is a dog that is not only a companion, but is active in dog sports like conformation, agility, weight pulling, and more, who also gives back to the community in becoming a therapy dog. All of these activities are rewarding and stimulating for the Alaskan Klee Kai and are a great benifit to the owner and their community as well.

We are located just north of Minneapolis, MN, and take great pride in our pups and our home. Our dogs eat, play, and sleep with us. They have free reign of the house when we are home, and are crate trained for when we are not.  Our puppies are taught at a young age to respect our things. They have their own pillows, blankets and plenty of toys to keep them busy. They are socialized well with puppy parties and are raised among our other household pets. While we are new to breeding, we have been around animals our entire lives. We are also in constant communication with other breeders and trainers as well as our vet to ensure the best guidance possible for raising these adorable Alaskan Klee Kai.

Kona's Kennelette is named after our first Alaskan Klee Kai (AKK), 'PR' Wiebelhusky's Kona CGC, TDI. He is a very special and spoiled. He's just over three years old, and has a great personality, disposition, and curiosity backed with great confidence. When he was a puppy, he thought his name was "Oh How Cute." And he KNEW it! He would prance around like he owned the place, trying to drag us to meet people, and other dogs. He added extra laughter, and patience to our lives, and we love him very much. So, in his honor, all future Alaskan Klee Kai born in our home will bear his name, as they will all be his special and spoiled puppies, as is Storm.

Storm, RBIMBS GRCH 'PR' Naitok's Solar Storm, is our foundation girl, and only breeding dog at the moment. Because of this, we will have few puppies a year. As breeding is a constant learning process, our desire is to match responsible owners, who will be close-by or remain in constant communication with us for our first few litters.
