This is the Home of Mac, Ziggy, Jaws and a bunch of Fish

Mac is our 6 year old Hahn's Macaw, who has a lot of spunk! She thinks and acts like she is a BIG green bird, and just doesn't accept that she is small. Her favorite foods are pasta, and seeds- we attempt to feed her veggies and other fun, colorful foods but she likes her natural pellets best- she's a picky eater. Her claim to fame, so far, is that she can take apart any toy, knot for knot, in no time flat. That includes an entire toy made of knots! She is our "watch bird" an sounds an alarm whenever she hears or sees something that may not be right. In our old house, she would always go off when a delivery driver got out of their car. Who needs a doorbell when you have a macaw.

Ziggy is our 3 year old Caique, our little monkey. He is usually found with his head in his treat dish, or hanging upside down from the top of his cage. He is very talented, and can beep like every household appliance we own with the exception of the telephone. Once we figured out his beeping talent we had to change one of the phone's ringers to play "Old Mac Donald" to out smart him. He even scared us once- he had just gotten new toys, and a bath. I looked over a while later and saw a red tummy. I though that maybe he had hurt himself, in a panic I ran over to check on him. Turns out that he rubbed his tummy all over his new red toy after his bath, and turned his white belly red! Since, he has sported orange, green and yellow. One of these days he will be white again. He eats everything, but his favorite treat is a carrot. He even sports a carrot beard when he's done.

Jaws is our Leopard Gecko, and he's been around a long time now. He's 10 inches long and living the life of luxury in his aquarium. He got his name the day we picked him up. Out of a large number of Gecko's he was the only one who hunted and ate a cricket larger than his little head. He started out the size of a pinky finger, and is well over hand sized now. He is still a great hunter of crickets (yes, only live will do). He will crawl on your hand sometimes to be picked up, otherwise you can usually find him in his cave.

We currently have 2 saltwater systems, which house a variety of fish and corals and inverts. One is a 29 gallon Bio Cube and the other is comprised of three tanks equating to roughly 90 gallons. Our most unique fish at the moment is a Mandrin, most only eat live foods, but ours will catch frozen as well!
